How I work

We are in this together

I am experienced in working with young people, families and adults with mental health difficulties, such as anxiety, low mood, low self-esteem etc.  I have extensive experience with working with people with Autism, ADHD and special educational needs and disabilities, in a variety of settings, including educational establishments. Having worked as an EHCP Co-ordinator and Autism mentor, I can help children and teenagers with school refusal, understanding relationships, organising themselves and support them with sensory difficulties. I can also support families and navigate them through the EHCP process.  My involvement in LGBTQ+ support groups and training, means I can support individuals and their families with understanding and accepting their identity.

I can provide screening appointments for Autism and ADHD as well as ADHD assessments and diagnosis and work with individuals post diagnosis.

I can work flexibly drawing on a range of therapeutic models depending on individual needs, including Person-Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), Systemic Family Therapy, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and Mindfulness.

My personal interests lie in the field of performing arts and I have led and assisted in drama, music and art workshops. I am open and creative in my practice and can use these skills therapeutically with clients.
